Parent and Family Events
The University of Utah coordinates an event for parents and family members during Fall and Spring semesters. Activities include receptions with University representatives, athletic events, information sessions, and much more!
The next event will be Parent and Family Weekend. Below is more information as well as a preliminary schedule.
Parent and Family Weekend: September 26-28, 2008
Parent and Family Weekend, part of Homecoming 2008, is a great opportunity to visit the University of Utah. You will meet other families of Utah students, get to know University faculty and staff members, and cheer on the Utes football team against Weber State! To register, click the link on the right.
When you register for Parent and Family Weekend, you will choose the events you wish to attend. You can either join us at the activities listed below or spend time with your student on campus and in Salt Lake City.
Friday, September 26:
5:30pm Opening Reception at Crimson View Room, Student Union
7:00pm Dinner at local restaurants
7:00pm Dennis Miller Show at Kingsbury Hall
8:00pm My Fair Lady at Pioneer Theatre Company
Saturday, September 27:
8:30am 5K Race
9:30am Kids 1K Fun Race
10:30am Tour of Red Butte Garden
2:00pm Tour of Museum of Fine Arts
4:00pm Tailgate Dinner Party
6:00pm Football Game against Weber State University
Sunday, September 28:
11:00am Closing Brunch at Heritage Center
Lodging at Parent and Family Weekend
We partner with the University Guest House to provide you with on-campus accommodations. The nightly rate for Parent and Family Weekend 2008 is $75.
Important Note: Register for Parent and Family Weekend before September 10 if you plan to stay in the Guest House.
